DEBT CONNECTION SYMPOSIUM AND EXPO 2015!
COLLECTIONS . COMPLIANCE . ACCOUNTABILITY

OVERVIEW
Dennis and Judy Hammond present Debt Connection Symposium and Expo 2015, focusing on networking and connecting with clients, service providers, product suppliers, agencies, attorneys - at a whole new level.

In addition to hearing presentations from a high-caliber faculty, a key ingredient of the Debt Connection Symposium and Expo concept is to have an opportunity to meet peers and other industry professionals, as well as finding new products and services that might make your job easier, better, more efficient, more productive, etc.

Speed Networking gets you started. Meet 20 people in the first 30 minutes. With dozens of industry vendors, the Expo is a great place to meet the industry's best companies and network with hundreds of registered attendees. Explore opportunities, discover strategies and technologies, connect with peers and resources.

DISTINCTIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCES
DCS2015 combines five distinct learning styles and experiences with more networking opportunities and specialty meetings than ever before in one venue - structured to maximize the educational focus of the event.

With collections, compliance and accountability as our educational focus, we a take a fresh look at the operational decisions affecting our company’s goals, whether it impacts the protection of the consumer, the brand, or the company’s performance and continued existence. Success and achievement are a combination of knowledge, relationships and action. These principles will be examined throughout the conference.

This year, start the conference by connecting with Regulators and then we head straight into a presidential style Great Debate! You won’t want to miss four of the industry’s leading professionals debate the concepts of collection effectiveness and compliance. Yes, you can be effective and compliant too!

Also in the general session, plan to join our six Fast Track presenters for their 7 minute - “best idea” - “got to write this one down” concepts!

After a networking lunch in the exhibit hall, we return to the educational sessions for our "What’s the Buzz in the Industry" sessions, providing an update and understanding of what's trending. There is something for everyone as topics include: Washington Update, Credit Unions, Debt Buying and Selling, and Auto Finance/Secured/Repossession. But wait, there’s more. We transition into small group learning experiences, where you can then choose up to 3 roundtables to join for interactive sessions on the topics of your choosing. From interactive small group sessions, to breakouts by topics, get more from your conference experience by choosing the sessions that best match your learning goals.

Distinctive learning begins again on Friday morning, with an opportunity to network, to enjoy a nice breakfast, and to visit any exhibit booths you haven’t yet seen. From learning about products and services in our Expo hall, to the Technology Friday sessions, you'll hear what’s new, what’s on the horizon, and how technology and strategies will affect the operational perspectives on some of the most challenging aspects of today’s collection and compliance world.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Banks, Auto Finance, Consumer Lenders, Healthcare Financial Management Professionals, Debt Buyers, Collection Agencies, Attorney Firms, Industry Vendors

The conference is geared for Collections, Recovery, and Debt Sales professionals from Creditors, Healthcare, Collection Agencies, Collection Attorney Firms, Debt Buyers, and Related Industry Vendors.

FEATURED COMPANY MEETINGS
A highlight of the Debt Connection Symposium and Expo is the Featured Company meetings, to facilitate Creditor/Debt Buyer vendor management meetings, new vendor or buyer orientations, or new portfolio sale previews.

The Featured Company meeting attendees generally require greater involvement from the Operations side, with the new vendor orientations and Networking opportunities benefiting attendees from both Operations and Relationships Management.

At DCS, Creditor and Debt Buyer Featured Companies hold group meetings with their existing vendors, or conduct new vendor orientation sessions for pre-qualified vendors who may be working on future projects. Debt Seller featured companies may hold new buyer orientation sessions or portfolio preview meetings for pre-qualified buyers. These sessions will be pre-scheduled in set locations, with pre-qualified attendees.

THE GREAT DEBATE

Did Collection Effectiveness go out the window when compliance came in the door??? Hear how these three industry professionals debate the topics you want to know - maintaining effective collection techniques while ensuring a compliant atmosphere. Is there agreement in the industry as to "how" it must be done? Or, is there room for a variety of interpretations? How can you dial? Does the term "social media" scare you? How about geo-location services? Can you have compliant work from home employees? How about interest rates post charge off / pre-judgment? What about settlements? How do you avoiding disparate impact and those sneaky unintended consequences. Another hotly argued point out there is the necessity to include 1099 language on discount (aka settlement) letters. What about background checks, privacy and state laws that conflict? When is it appropriate to sue? And how about letters - are they effective collection tools or more likely an opportunity for FDCPA claims. Record all? When don't you record? What about the analytics behind the call recordings - is it really a training technique, important evidence or supporting documentation for terminations? How do you handle conflicting and/or vague regulations? What constitutes appropriate third-party vendor oversight and auditing? When do you terminate, either collectors or vendors? This lively session will include 4 extremely knowledgeable debaters who will address the most relevant topics of the day - based on attendee requests. Don't miss this informative, educational and animated dialogue of the key issues for collection and recovery effectiveness and compliance!

TESTIMONIALS
"There are always a few sessions I look forward to with great anticipation. Then there are always one or two sessions that surprise me with excellent information or simply a new vantage point that I had not expected. These are among the reasons I attended DCS initially. However, as I have continued to attend, the biggest value I find is the wealth of connections I have made to people who have experienced my issues and can help me navigate the tricky waters of our industry. The quality of the information presented is top-notch and the same is true of the people who attend DCS each year.”
Chris Bennett - BMW Group
"I have had the pleasure of attending a number of DCS Symposiums and have found no similar meetings better! I always come away with more knowledge of our field and the talent brought together by RMS for these forums never cease to amaze me. In these times where the ARM space is undergoing tumultuous changes, attending one of these Symposiums should be a must!"
Barry Dumser - First Citizens Bank
"DCS has been one of the "go-to" conferences of the year in the ARM industry. The team consistently assembles knowledgeable presenters that cover relevant topics professionally. Networking is exceptional as DCS draws decision makers from leading banks and other credit grantors, agencies, debt buyers and product/service providers. As a keynote presenter, I am consistently impressed by their attention to the details and progressive technological capabilities."
Mike Ginsberg - President and CEO, Kaulkin Ginsberg
"Thank you again for hosting such a wonderful and successful conference. I can say that attending over 15 conferences a year for the last 12 years, if I had to only attend one this would be the event. The entire DCS team goes above and beyond to support the conference sponsors and provide VIP treatment. The quality of the speakers and break-out sessions were excellent, the networking events provided outstanding food and atmosphere for conference attendees to interact and to get to know each other. The accommodations as always with this conference were world class. Professionally, I was able to interact with multiple clients and meet some wonderful people who will now be colleagues."
Stephanie Kaster - Vice President of National Accounts/First Party, Western Region/ARM, RevSpring
"Thank you so very much for affording me the opportunity to participate in the Debt Connection Symposium & Expo as a Featured Company. The conference was 'AMAZING'! In regards to the Featured Company meeting, I could not have been more impressed with the results and the future benefit that it will bring to SCANA. This conference attracts a quality group with extensive strength in the industry. I found that I could contribute our valuable best practices to others and learn even more from their shared practices. In today's ever changing industry and economy…that alone is priceless! The atmosphere of the venue and the coordination of the event made it such a valued experience and I was so excited to share when I returned to SCANA. The keynote address was terrific and I found the Fast Tracks and networking especially valuable. Loved the fun activities and your choice of music to keep it lively and every one awake. Not to mention the food and snacks were fabulous! My favorite snack was the 'make you own' trail mix….great idea!"
